Blah.

1. Just like I predicted. I heart Paramore. Brand New Eyes is so good! How I wish I could be Hayley Williams.....  Just to keep with the Paramore theme, here's a cover they did of the song Use Somebody by KOL. Great band. Good Song. Great Cover!

2. The presentation was a success. I finished my presentation, and then for the rest of the hour long class, we laid on the floor and practiced relaxation techniques.... Which pretty much means, we listened to soothing music, and fought the urge not to fall asleep. It was the best class ever :)

3. I want one of these. Really bad. So if anyone has any advice on which route to take... i'd appreciate it!

so pretty.

4. I want to learn how to crochet. Mainly cute flowers.

 5. Also. I love Etsy. I could spend hours on that site. So inspiring. Makes me want to put my creativity into good use.

That's all for today.

Good things.

1. I'm so excited for Paramore's new Cd. I can't even tell you. I've been counting down the days!

2. Speaking of music. I've been listening to this cd on repeat for weeks now. I can't get enough of it. Love it. Love Regina. And i can't wait to see her live on November 6th! If you haven't listened to this CD yet, I highly recommend it. My favorites are..... Folding Chairs, The Calculation, Eet, Blue Lips, Laughing With, Dance anthem of the 80's, One more time with feeling... you know what... the whole Cd is amazing. Buy it.

3. On Thursday i'll be doing my first presentation of the year... I'm really nervous. Like abnormally nervous. The science of breathing... What kind of topic is that. I might just have a breakdown. Wish me luck. Oh the joy of powerpoints!

4. I need a new book series to get into. If anyone has any suggestions, send them my way. I've heard a lot of things about the Sookie Stackhouse series. If you know anything about them. Let me know. Apparently vampires are pretty big right now.... who would have known :)

That's all for tonight. Now back to studying my health notes :(

The Art of the Brick

I think this guy is a genius. He makes art out of Lego's!

His exhibit will be at the Kimball Art Center in Park City, on September 18, 2009 - November 15, 2009.

I'll be there! Will you?

Here's a little bit about Nathan Sawaya....

"Nathan Sawaya is a New York-based artist who creates awe-inspiring works out of some of the most unlikely things. His recent North American museum tours feature large-scale sculptures using only toy building blocks. LEGO® bricks to be exact.
Sawaya’s art is currently touring North American museums in a show titled, The Art of the Brick. It’s the only exhibition focusing exclusively on LEGO as an art medium. The creations, constructed from nearly one million pieces, were built from standard bricks beginning as early as 2000.
Born in Colville, Washington and raised in Veneta, Oregon, Sawaya’s childhood dreams were always fun. He drew cartoons, wrote stories and perfected magic tricks. Of course much of his playtime centered on the emerging LEGO City he created in his parent’s living room. For more than twelve years the LEGO City flourished. And this is where Sawaya’s imagination soared, and consequently fine-tuned his future art form.
With more than 1.5 million colored bricks in his New York studio, Sawaya’s sculptures take many forms.
A 7-foot-long replica of the Brooklyn Bridge, a life-size tyrannosaurus rex skeleton, and Stephen Colbert are all now immortalized in plastic -- thanks to Sawaya".

Love this one!

My second favorite!

Find more of his creations on his website....

And if he's coming to a city near you, I think you should go!

PostSecret

I love PostSecret. Such a good idea! I wish I could have come up with it. I've spent way to many hours flipping through the books at Barnes & noble... Well worth it.

New Year, New Obsessions.....

As a New Years resolution, I decided to keep better track of my life experiences. I'm not good at journaling.... but i'm great at being on the computer. So having a blog was the best option.
We'll see how this goes!
2009! Yes!
